Ancona Ducks are critically endangered. They are a hardy all purpose duck. They are great layers. They lay 200 to 280 eggs yearly. The color of the eggs can be white, cream, or blue. Ancona ducks grow quickly and produce a high quality meat, they are less fatty then Pekin ducks. They are calm, friendly, and have great temperaments making them a fine pet. They don't fly and like to stay close to home and are great free rangers. Ancona ducks weigh 6 to 6.5 pounds. The broken mottled plumage is unique, there is no set design. There should be black or green spotting on the bills and feet. There are many color varieties. The colors I have are: Black and White, Blue and White, Lavender and White, Silver and White, Tricolored and White, and Chocolate and White. My ducks are from Holderread bloodlines.
Ancona Duck eggs are no longer available from my farm thanks.
